Summer Card Camp 2 - week 1 - Monday

This week, I wanted to play with the last sketch given (and not showcased by the teachers).
I first made this lay out with a reddish dardstock, and I just didn't like it. Since I don't have the rght blue cardstock, I decided to use white, and use distress ink and tool to color the front. Turned out ok, I think! I decided to do the same for the little red panel. I love the sentiment: "If you obey all the rules
                       you miss all the fun"
I made this card yesterday evening, so I guess I used the masking technique a day too early :-)
The ink needed to dry, so I left it overnight, and assembled the card this afternoon, after work.
Supplies:
cardstock : Bazzill (white)
                 vellum
inks : Tim Hotz distress inks: picked raspberriy and tumbled glass
         Colorbox : Amber, a green that I can't read
I didn't label my stamps - sorry!

Christmascard...

I have a plan! She said very determined. If I can make at least one Christmascard a week, every week of the year, that should result in 40 cards at the beginning of december. And that is just music to my ears! So. I merrily coloured away at my Hanglar images, only to find I didn't have any matching DP to go with the result. Luckily I did have some Tim Holtz distress inks, and a die I could use as a template. So I sponged some, and then some, and I really like the effect.
Thank you for visiting me!

40th Anniversary

The parents of a friend celebrated their 40th anniversary, and I thought that was reason to celebrate with lots of rich reds and gold. Boy, did I celebrate! That gold leaf really isn' t aal that easy to work with! But I like the result.

New home

Awhile ago, a young couple moved into their new home, and I made them this card. It is a while ago, and I'm afraid I don't remember what supplies I used.

I had fun adding the keyhole and the key in the little envelope I made to fit the key!

Creative inspirations challlenge 23: spots, dots and circles

Although I have been following many challenge blogs, and using the sketches as inspiraton for my cards, I never entered on any of them. Oh well, there's a first for everything!

I used my nesties to create an aperture, an made some rings with differrent sizes of nesties. The die-cuts are from the latest Let's Make Cards issue (I really should look up those Beatrix Potter books and read them again: lots of memories there!).

I'm sure I'll find someone down with the flue to send this to...

Okay, so I didn't buy just the one stamp of WoJ...

I also bought Willow with Strawberrybasket, and couldn't resist using her right away. She's sitting on nestabilities labels 2, and behind her are some papers from the Making Memories pad Rouge & Mocha. Cardstock is Bazzil.

Ialso did the inside. A third nestie was made, but not yet glued: I'll doe that after I wrote the message, but since I don't know who the card is for yet...

Willow with cookies

It' my SIL's birthday soon, and she'l get cookies from us. Willow's cookies, that is. I colored het with my Derwent colorsofts (still getting the hang of this). I really like her, I'm sure I look just like her when I carry a tray of cookies out of the oven!

Her birthday is at the end of August, so I still have time to bake her something to go with it (I was actually thinking along the line of brownies: one cannot have too much chocolate on her birthday, right?).

Ingredients (of the card, not the brownies ;-)
stamp: Whiff of joy
papers: Bazzil and Basic Grey (marrakech)
nestabilities labels 2
